Though a peaceful political situation prevails in the country, the Australian government yesterday issued an updated travel alert advising Australians to exercise a high degree of caution in Bangladesh, reports UNB.  “There is an ongoing threat of terrorism in Bangladesh, including against Western interests. The level of advice has not changed. We continue to advise Australians to exercise a high degree of caution in Bangladesh,” the Australian government said in a message posted on its official website.  Exercising a high degree of caution means there are more numerous or significant risks in this location than what they would typically find in a large Australian city.
