Clinic vandalised after death of pregnant women

Angry people vandalised a clinic over death of a woman after giving birth to a baby boy following a caesarian operation at the clinic in Bhandaria upazila on Wednesday night.
 The deceased is and daughter of Shahjahan Howlader, at Bhandaria upazila in the district.
The arrestees are Dr Nazrul Islam and Abdul Aziz, brother of Shawpan, owner of Shapla Clinic in the upazila.
Family sources said pregnant Nasrin Begum, 25, of Ujirpur upazila of Barisal Nasrin, was admitted to Shapla Clinic on Tuesday evening.  
Dr Nazrul Islam of the clinic, who was dealing with the patient, set the operation time for delivering child at 8 am on Wednesday.
But Nazrul began the operation at 2 pm and a male child was born. The baby was in good health.
In the afternoon, when Dr. Nazrul came to the clinic he saw the  condition of Nasrin deteriorating.
As she began vomiting blood at around 6 pm the doctor, nurses and manager of the clinic hid inside the clinic.
Relatives took her to Bhandaria
 Upazila Health Complex immediately, but the doctor there declared her dead.  Following the incident, locals became angry and vandalised the clinic.  
On information, police from Bhandaria police station rushed to the spot and arrested Dr Nazrul and one Aziz
from the clinic.
Aziz is a health assistant of Gouripur union health complex.
The upazila administration sealed off the clinic.
