The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) didn’t give up the hopes of getting the Pakistani players for the third edition of BPL. There was report that the Pakistan cricket authorities would only allow its players to play in BPL if BCB sends its women’s team for the scheduled tour of Pakistan. The BCB however trashed the report, saying they don’t believe any news citing the quotes of ‘sources’.
“We don’t consider any unknown sources. So we can’t comment on this,” said BCB media and communication committee chairman Jalal Younus. “Our president had already said that he didn’t discuss with them anything about any conditions. What was in the past was cleared before our series against Pakistan.” Younus said that they will take the decision about women’s tour of Pakistan after BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon arrives in the country.
“We’ve just got the report. We’ll take the decision after BCB president returns in the country.” BPL governing council member secretary IH Mallick said they believe the PCB will send its players to take part in the BPL.
“Our relationship with Pakistan is better than any other time. We don’t know whether the Pakistani players will come but we have in touch with PCB. Their players are in our consideration still and keeping the Pakistani players we are preparing the players list for the time being.”
