Renowned actress Suborna Mustafa and audience-admired actress Shomi Kaiser will be seen sharing the small screen for the first time in a new tele-drama titled ‘Jatra Pother Gaulpo’, directed by Arif Khan.
Written by Badrul Anam Soud, the tele-drama is scheduled to be telecast on NTV during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
The talented actresses have not appeared in any small screen drama projects together in their long acting career. But Arif Khan has brought them together in ‘Jatra Pother Gaulpo’.
While Suborna Mustafa is regularly seen on the small screen, Shomi Kaiser is rarely seen in small screen drama projects.
DhakaLive has news that the actresses already participated in the shooting of ‘Jatra Pother Gaulpo’.
Badrul Anam Soud said, “We always judge a person by his/her appearance. But it’s not right. If there is no friendship in a marriage, the couple spends their days without love. So, friendship is needed in every relationship.”
Suborna Mustafa said, “The story of this tele-drama is very nice. We had to shoot in a train. It was hard work and needed a lot of patience. Shomi does not act anymore as she used to before, but she has prepared herself for the tele-drama. I believe that ‘Jatra Pother Gaulpo’ will be a good tele-drama.”
About her sharing screen with Suborna Mustafa for the first time, Shomi Kaiser said, “I have performed with her on stage. But I did not get any opportunity to act with her on the small screen. We were really surprised knowing that we have not portrayed in small screen drama projects until now.”
“Many directors tried to bring us together on the screen. But it has now happened under Arif Khan’s direction. Suborna Mustafa was a source of inspiration for me to become an actress when I used to saw her acting. I will always remember this tele-drama,” she added.
