Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)yesterday detained the owner of 'Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan', a bus of which ploughed through some students, killing two of them dead in front of Kurmitola General Hospital on Airport Road in the capital on Sunday, reports UNB.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-1 battalion held Shahadat Hossain, the owner of the killer bus (DM-Ba-11-9297), from the city yesterday noon, said Company Commander Major Rakibuzzaman of RAB-1. He, however, did not mention the name of the place of detention saying that Shahadat was under surveillance for the last two days.

On Sunday, Diya Khanam Mim and Abdul Karim Rajib, students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin School and College, were killed as the bus of 'Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan ploughed through some students on the Airport Road. Students from different institutions took to the streets for the 4th consecutive day yesterday demanding punishment of the driver responsible for the accident and resignation of the Shipping Minister for his 'unpleasant' comments over it.
