Three fishermen were rescued while the bodies of 'four others' recovered at different places of the Bay of Bengal from Saturday evening to yesterday afternoon. The identities of the deceased could not be known as their bodies got decomposed beyond recognition. Barguna Fisheries Trawler Owners' Association president Golam Mostafa Chowdhury said the rescued fishermen were taken to Patharghata Health Complex. On July 21, a total of 57 fishermen went missing as several trawlers capsized in the Bay of Bengal after being caught in storms. After five days, three fishermen - Tota Mia, Md Liton and Swapan -- were rescued alive on Saturday. However, the recovered bodies were buried at Nandarbaria, Alorkol and Dublar Char as those got decomposed beyond recognition, Mostafa said.
