Sushma sees JP playing ‘rare role’: Hawlader

Jatiya Party secretary general Ruhul Amin Hawlader yesterday said India External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj hailed their party's role -- both in government and opposition -- and hoped many democratic countries will follow the example, reports UNB. "Sushma Swaraj said it's a rare example that Jatiya Party has been playing the role in the government despite being the opposition. She appreciated Jatiya Party as it came out of traditional concept that the opposition can't play any role in the government," he said.

Hawlader came up with the remarks while speaking at a press conference at Jatiya Party Chairman's Banani office on HM Ershad's four-day India tour. Ershad along with Ruhul Amin Hawlader, presidium members Zia Uddin Ahmed Bablu, Sunil Shuvo Roy and Khaled Akhter, returned home from New Delhi on Wednesday.
