Police yesterday said that Saidur Rahman Payel, the North South University student who was killed in a bus accident, could have been saved had he been rushed to a hospital. At a press briefing, Munshiganj police superintendent Zayedul Alam revealed this to reporters yesterday.
On July 21, Payel, along with two of his friends, started from Chattogram to Dhaka in a bus of Hanif Paribahan (Dhaka Metro-B-9687) at 10:15pm.
The bus got stuck in a traffic jam near the Bhatar Char Bridge on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 4am. At that time, Payel got off the bus to respond to nature's call.
Right that moment, one of his friends was asleep in the adjacent seat, while another was asleep in another seat at the end of the bus. But the See Page 15 Col 5
