Rituparna to attend launching ceremony of ‘Jam’ in Dhaka

Celebrated Indian Bangla actress Rituparna Sengupta is coming to Dhaka to participate in the ‘Shubho Mahurat’ (launching ceremony) of an upcoming Bangladeshi film titled ‘Jam’. The film will be directed by Nayeem Imtiaz Neyamul.

Rituparna will arrive in Dhaka on July 22 and she is scheduled to attend the launching ceremony of the film at Dhaka Club at 11:30pm on July 23, the actress informed DhakaLive.

The main concept of ‘Jam’ came from late Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury, while the story is written jointly by Nayeem Imtiaz Neyamul and Shelly Manna, the wife of late popular actor Manna. The film’s script and dialogue are written by Pantho Shahriar. The film will be produced under the banner of Kritanjali Chalochittro—a production house founded by actor Manna.

Rituparna said, “I had a very good family relation with actor Manna. We developed this relationship while working together in various projects. After the demise of Manna, I am still in contact with his wife Shelly Manna. She is a good hearted woman.”

“I have discussed with Shelly Manna about working in the film under the banner of Manna’s production house. Yes, there is a high possibility that I will be working in the film. Let me attend the launching ceremony of the film first. Let’s see what comes next”, Rituparna told about working in the film.

Director Neyamul, “We hope that we will be able to start shooting of the film from coming October. We are taking necessary preparation accordingly. Rituparna will be seen portraying the role of a lawyer—an import character in this film.”
