After a long hiatus, eminent filmmaker and TV drama maker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has returned to making TV dramas for the viewers. The internationally-acclaimed director is currently making two tele-dramas for Channel i. A total of eight tele-dramas, made by under the direction of Mostofa Sarwar Farooki & Bhai Brother Express, will be aired on Channel i during upcoming
Eid-ul-Azha.
Among the tele-dramas, Farooki is making his tele-drama ‘Ayesha’ based on noted writer Anisul Haq’s novel ‘Ayesha Mangal. Other productions by Bhai Brother Express include—‘Pata Jhorar Din’ directed by Redwan Roni, ‘Sonali Danar Chil’ directed by Ashfaq Nipun, ‘The Artist’ directed by Mahmudul Islam, ‘Patla Khan Lane Bagh Asiyachhilo’ jointly directed by Abdullah Al Muqtadir and Fahad Khan, ‘Ajke Na Hoy Bhalobaso’ jointly directed by Nazmul Nabin and Mahmudul Hasan Adnan and ‘Litoner Niriho Flat’ jointly directed by Momin Biswas and Lotus Majumdar.
To disclose detailed information about making eight dramas by Mostafa Sarwar Farooki and Bhai Brother Express, a press meet was arranged at Channel i office in the capital yesterday. The event was attended by Channel i managing director Faridur Reza Sagor, Unilever country director (beauty & personal care) Nafis Anwar, Mostafa Sarwar Farooki and directors of tele-dramas and cast and crew.
Farooki said, “After long eight years, I have returned to making TV drama. We always want to do something different. I believe that the initiative of Bhai Brother Express for the viewers of Channel i will be liked by everyone this Eid.”
To note, the cast of the tele-dramas include Chanchal Chowdhury, Tisha, Ishita, Syed Hasan Imam, Iresh Zaker, Seoti and Samia Othoi, among others. Like the past years, various bands of Unilever Bangladesh will be sponsor for the programmes of Channel i during Eid-ul-Azha.
