Mushfiq wishes tail-enders to score some runs

Mushfiqur Rahim is looking to get the service of tail-enders to add some valuable runs in the upcoming Test series against Australia. According to the Bangladesh Test captain, the tail-enders’ run could break the opponent’s morale which would favour his side at the end. “The tail-enders’ runs always help in team’s cause. Don’t forget the run of Taijul Islam down in the batting order during the first Test against Zimbabwe. If he couldn’t make those runs, things could have been different,” reminded Mushfiqur Rahim.
Bangladesh were on the course of conceding the lead but Taijul’s 19 runs at No. 8 position ensured the side would earn a slender 14 runs lead. This was invaluable at that juncture of the game. Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusingha who has already established him as the shrewd technician instructed Under-19 coach Mizanur Rahman Babul to help the bowlers in batting practice so that they could contribute in team’s cause. Since then Babul has been working with them intensively. “The tail-enders are working hard. Hopefully their hard work can sway the results in our way in one way or the other. Hopefully we will get the fruits of their hard work,” Mushfiqur said.
