Malaysian university offers scholarships for Bangladeshi students

UCSI University, a Malaysian university, has offered 40 scholarships for  Bangladeshi students to enjoy educational experience in Kuala Lumpur. Combined with Malaysia’s city life, accessible public transportation system, lush island escapades, visa-friendly status between the countries and status as an Islamic country, students from Bangladesh are assured to have a convenient, comfortable, and fulfilling time, says a press release.

Students are advised to choose their preferred academic programmes, ranging from Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering and Architecture to Music, Multimedia, Education, Liberal Arts and Hospitality.

World Population Day observed at RU

The World Population Day was observed on Rajshahi University campus on Wednesday.

On occasion of this day, Population Science and Human Resource department brought out a colorful procession on the campus parading main streets ended in front of the 3rd Science Building of the university.

Later, a discussion was held at the conference room of the department.

Presided over by Chairman of the department Prof Nazrul Islam Mandal, Dr Rafiqul Islam, Associate Prof Mahfuzur Rahman spoke at the programme.  Speakers said, the peoples of the developed countries are well-aware of their family plan and maintenance but in Bangladesh this plan is taken on behalf of the government. If the family-plan is taken in individually the anxiety with development and human rights of the country will be menaced.
