First ‘’Embassy Football Fest’’ will be held in the capital on July 12 and 13. This is an effort by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh to build more friendly relationship among embassies. The tournament will be held at Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex annex to Bangladesh National Stadium  

As many as 14 embassies- India, Canada, Australia, Sri Lanka, Republic of Korea, Myanmar, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iraq, Afghanistan, Oman, Maldives and Palestine will take part in this event.  Many of the Ambassadors are expected to be present to make this event more meaningful.

Bangladesh Football Federation and Ministry of Youth and Sports are giving logistics support to this event. It will set an example that football could be a way of knowing each other better and going forward together and those two days will be a symbol of fun and friendship.

The opening and group stages match will kick-off Thursday at 10am and knockout and closing will take place on Friday at 5pm.
