RAJSHAHI: A daylong introductory meeting and training course for the Hajj pilgrims was held at divisional office conference hall of Islamic Foundation (IF) here on Monday, reports BSS. Divisional and District Offices of IF jointly organised the training. A total of 309 hajj pilgrims both male and female joined the training. With government arrangement, they will perform the holy religious ritual in Saudi Arabia this year from all over the district.
Chaired by IF Divisional Director Hafez Ahmed, the training was addressed, among others, by Deputy Commissioner SM Abdul Kader, IF Trainer Shamsul Haque, Civil Surgeon Office’s Medical Officer Dr Kamrul Hassan, Imam of Hatem Khan Boro Mosque Mufti Yeakub Ali and IF Field Officer Humayun Kabir.
Mufti Yeakub Ali took part as the main discussant, conducted the training course and delivered the keynote speech on ‘Arkan’ and ‘Ahkam’ for performing Hajj correctly in the holy city of Mecca.
