Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif yestedray sought help of all for building a society free from terrorism, extortion and drug, urging them not to patronise drug dealers, reports BSS. “Please do not help those involved in drug trade in the society,” he said while addressing a discussion in the capital.
Anandam Institute of Yog Ayurved and Jougik Hospital jointly organized the discussion titled, ‘Role of Yoga Habit for Having Ideal Life’ on Ramna Kalimandir premises in Suhrawardy Udyan here, marking the International Yoga Day, a handout release said. Chaired by Yoga director PKB Prokash Pramithias Chowdhury, the discussion was addressed, among others, by director general of Bangladesh Film Archive Sachindra Nath Halder and Yoga professor Dr Gabindra Chandra Das.
Giving emphasis on yoga to build a drug-free society, Sherif said yoga and physical exercise can refrain youths from devastating drugs.
The government will incorporate the importance of yoga in the textbooks for students to create mass awareness in this regard, he said.
The Land Minister also urged the school authorities to arrange yoga and physical exercise at their respective school fields for their students.
