Popy to begin shooting
for three new films

Due to a family emergency, National Film Award winning actress Sadika Parvin Popy could not make her appearance in any tele-drama or telefilm during Eid-ul-Fitr. However, the actress is back to work and she is going to start shooting for three new films from the next month, Popy informed.

Popy’s new films are Sadek Siddiqui’s ‘Sahoshi Joddha’ and Shahidul Haq Khan’s two films ‘Turn’ and ‘Juddho Shishu’.

DhakaLive has news that more than half work of the film ‘Sahoshi Joddha’ has already been completed. Now, with the intention of completing the rest of the work without any break, the shooting of the film will commence from the middle of the next month. Director of ‘Sahoshi Joddha’ Sadek Siddiqui has expressed his desire to complete the entire work of the film as soon as possible.

In ‘Sahosi Joddha’, Popy is playing the role of heroine named Sonia while her co-artistes in this film are actor Amin Khan and Emon.

Popy said about working in three new films, “The story of ‘Sahoshi Joddha’ is really beautiful and I am also satisfied with the work. Moreover, the stories of ‘Turn’ and ‘Juddho Shishu’ are also really admirable. They are quite unique than the usual stories.”

“If the making of both Shahidul Haq Khan’s films complete in the appropriate manner, I believe that they would get the acceptance from the audience”, she added.

Apart from these three new films, the actress has already started shooting for the film ‘Kathgoray Sarat Chandra’ playing the role of Parvati. Noted actor Gazi Rakayet will portray the role of Sarat Chandra, while actor Ferdous will be playing the character of Devdas opposite the actress.

Due to take care of her ailing father who had been severely sick before the Eid, Popy had to pause all of her acting ventures during this Eid. However, the doctor informed that her father will get well very soon.

To note, although the actress was not seen acting this Eid, but the actress appeared as a guest in an Eid programme titled ‘Star Box’ hosted by Akhi Alamgir on Channel 9. Also, Popy hosted an Eid show named ‘Amar Chobi Amar Gaan’ on Ekushey TV, which focused on her life and experience in film. Also, a few songs from her films were also aired in between her conversations in the programme.
