Holy Shab-e-Qadr observed in cities

CHATTOGRAM: The holy Lailatul Qadr, a night of fortune and blessing’ for the Muslims, was observed on Tuesday night in the port city as elsewhere in the district with due religious fervor and solemnity, reports BSS.

Muslim devotees spent the night with special prayers seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of the country and the Muslim Ummah.

Besides, Qurankhwani, special Munajats and Milad-Mahfils were also offered at the mosques.

A large number of Muslim devotees visited the mazars of some famous saints including Hajrat Amanat Shah (RA), Hajrat Garibullah Shah (RA) and Hajrat Baizeed Bostami (RA).

Like every year, devotees offered their prayers and participated in other religious rituals in the whole night at port city’s two famous mosques-the Andarkilla Shahi Jam’e Mosque, CDA Mehidibag Mosque and Jamiatul Falah Mosque after Tarabi Prayers.

Devotees also visited graveyards to seek eternal blessings for the departed souls of their near and dear ones. Besides, seeking divine blessings for peace, progress and happiness of the individuals, country and Muslim Ummah, the Muslim devotees also visited graves of their near and dear ones and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls. Adequate security measures were taken in different important points, mazars and mosques in the city.

Another reports adds from Rajshahi: Thousands of Muslim devotees offered ‘nafal’ prayers at mosques and homes and recited from the holy Quran in observance of the most meaningful night of forgiveness.

Besides, they sought blessings of Almighty Allah for long life, peace, progress, good health and happiness for them, their families, relatives and friends and offered special prayers with hopes of forgiveness from Almighty Allah.

Special discussions were held at the mosques since Asr prayer, where the Imams delivered speeches narrating spiritual significance one of the most sacred night.
