A court here sentenced three persons to life term rigorous imprisonment for murdering a girl in Araihazar police station in April 17, 2008. The court also fined those Taka 50,000 each, in default, to suffer six more months in jail.
Miazi Shahidul Islam, additional district and session judge court-1 handed down the judgment. During the judgment delivery two accused Sab Mia and Nure Alam were present while Sohel Mia, another accused, was in absentia, court sources confirmed. According to the prosecution story, on April 17, 2008 a girl named Masuma went to a shop of Nure Alam at Araihazar Bazar where Nur and others accused tried to rape her. Later they killed the girl and kept into a sack at inside the shop.
