On the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, Raihan Rafi-directed ‘Poramon 2’ is going to hit the cinemas across the country. Besides, the first sequel of the film series, titled ‘Poramon’, romantic drama film directed by Jakir Hossain Raju, will be aired on the small screen during the Eid.

DhakaLive has news that the viewers can watch ‘Poramon’ as a special film on the screen of the Maasranga TV on the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr at 2:30pm.

Young artistes Siam Ahmed and Puja Cherry Roy have played lead roles in the film ‘Poramon 2’. It will be Siam’s first-ever big screen appearance where he will play the role of Sujon Shah.

After getting selected for the Marche du Film section in the Cannes Film Festival, ‘Poramon 2’ had its premier in this festival.

The film was scheduled to release during Pahela Baishakh this year, but it is finally coming to cinemas this Eid.

On the other hand, the film ‘Poramon’ was a huge hit film in 2013 and the audience admired the film a lot. The selection of renditions used in the film was also amazing. In fact, the song ‘Joley Joley Jonaki’ rendered by Nancy and Shafiq Tuhin, was rated one of the top three songs in 2013.

The cast of the film includes Mahiya Mahi, Symon Sadik, Anisur Rahman Milon, Bipasha Kabir, Munira Mithu, Ali Raj and Misha Sawdagor among others.
