Advance Bangla Dictionary
Developed by Abdullah Al Mamun, Advance Bangla Dictionary provides a new experience of using a Bangla-English Dictionary. The interesting thing about the app is that your mobile phone doesn’t even need to support Bangla fonts. It has around 22,000 words available offline and 350,000 words on the online English dictionary. The dictionary contains both English to Bangla translations and definition of English words. So, you don’t have to switch to another dictionary to find the meaning of a word in English.

Internet.org is a partnership between the popular social networking website Facebook and six companies, providing free internet services in less developed countries. Recently, the government’s ICT division launched the app in the country with the help of mobile phone operator Robi Axiata Ltd. You can browse a list of popular websites for free with a Robi SIM card. You can search for jobs, get health information or keep in touch with friends and family without data charges.

We all know about Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia containing millions of articles. It is the most comprehensive and widely used reference work ever compiled. Wikipedia’s official app provides access to the encyclopedia’s catalogue of more than 32 million articles in 280 languages. The app has added options for rapidly sharing articles on social network sites like Twitter or saving for offline use later.

Coursera app, launched for Android and iPhone, lets you sign-up for online courses on a variety of subjects, ranging from medicine to philosophy. The app provides a platform for students to browse courses, watch lectures and communicate with professors online. It provides more than 600 free courses in a dozen languages from over 100 top tier universities worldwide, including Stanford and Yale.

Edmodo offers learning away from the classroom by providing a free and safe place for teachers and students to connect and collaborate anytime. It creates secure groups for remote learning and reduces work load remarkably. Over three million people are currently using the app.
