Prime suspect confesses 
to crime

CHATTOGRAM: Md Arman, the prime suspect in the murder of Arafat who was stabbed dead in the port city on Monday last, gave confession statement to a court here on Saturday, reports UNB. Judge Al-Imam of Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate court recorded his statement, said Abul Bashar, officer-in-charge of Chandgaon Police Station. Arman confessed that he had a previous enmity with Arafat, said the OC.

Police arrested Arman from his home early Saturday and produced him before the court on Saturday morning. Mohammad Arafat, 19, son of Mohamamd Hossain and a shipyard worker, was stabbed on his neck and shoulder in Mohra Kamal Bazar on May 21. Later, the victim succumbed to his injuries on the way to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
