RAJSHAHI: A man tried to commit suicide allegedly after killing his wife in Tanore upazila on Tuesday, reports BSS. The deceased was identified as Summatun Begum, 32, wife of Nisar Uddin of Juanpur village in the upazila. Quoting locals, officer-in-charge of Tanore Police Station Rezaul Karim said Nisar took poison in the early hours after strangulating his wife to death over a family feud. Later, neighbours informed police. Nisar was arrested and taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for treatment while the body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.

Another report adds: In separate incidents, two persons were killed in Puthia and Durgapur upazila on Monday, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Piarul Islam, 40, son of Kukor Mondol of Jamira Hatpara village in Puthia upazila and Lalu, 46, son of Sayed Ali of Sukhandighi village in Durgapur upazila.
