Mohammedan Sporting Club and Abahani Limited will face each other today in the Green Delta Hockey Premier League match when the traditional giants of the country will meet after two years as they played last in the June 1 of 2016.

Two years back, in the first leg of the league both the giants shared the honours with 2-2 draw but in the Super five leg, Abahani snatched a 4-2 win coming from behind.

However, Zahid, one of the experienced player and the coach Moududur Rahman Shuvo expressed their optimistic to win the prestigious battle.

Shuvo, who turned into coach recently, have been guiding Mohammedan Sporting Club in the league and the team is unbeaten till eight matches with winning all the matches by huge margin.

Mahbub Harun, Abahani coach, who also played plenty of Mohammedan-Abahani matches said, “It is a psychological match, who would be psychologically strong, I mean will overcome the mental pressure will win the match.”

“I advised the players to play their own game and if they can play their usual game, we will win the game.”

Harun, evaluating the opponents said, “Their foreign players are good, our Malaysian striker also good and Indian national team’s players Bikas will play his first match today, I am hopeful to win the match.”
