 ‘Uphold nobility of nursing profession’

RANGPUR: The nurses of Kurigram district yesterday vowed to uphold the nobleness of their profession through serving the suffering humanity with utmost sincerity to attain the sustainable development goals, reports BSS.

They vowed this at a post-rally discussion organised by Kurigram General Hospital and Nursing Institute (GHNI) at the Doctor's Club conference room in Kurigram district town in observance of the International Nurses Day- 2018.

Earlier, a colorful rally, participated by the students of nursing, nurses, physicians, health officials and employees of GHNI, was brought out on the main streets of town.

With Nursing Supervisor Ambia Pervin in the chair, Superintendent of Kurigram Sadar Hospital Dr Anwarul Haque Pramanik attended the discussion as the chief guest.

Civil Surgeon of Kurigram Dr Aminul Islam addressed the discussion as the special guest.

Nursing Instructor (In-charge) Begum Anjuman Ara, Nursing Officer Shefali Rahman and Nursing Instructor Jahir Raihan, among others, spoke.

Dr Aminul Islam termed the nurses as real friends of the suffering people and highly appreciated their selfless and dedicated services being rendered to the human being in their real need when their lives remain at stakes.

The chief guest put emphasis on ensuring adequate training for further improving skills of the nurses so that they could provide world standard services to the patients in the hospitals, health complexes, clinics and other

places.

"The dedicated services of the nurses are saving hundreds of human lives every minute across the world," he said and asked them for discharging professional duties with utmost sincerity to the suffering people.
