RANGPUR: Dr Wazed Smriti Sangsad (DWSS) has finalised programmes to observe the ninth death anniversary of nuclear scientist and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's husband Dr M A Wazed Miah on May 9, reports BSS.

The programme were finalised at a meeting of the organisation held at its temporary office in Press Club Bhaban on Thursday night with its Vice- president AKM Mozammel Haque in the chair.

General Secretary of DWSS and senior journalist Saiful Islam Jahangir moderated the meeting participated by members of the executive committee of the organisation.

Joint Secretary of DWSS Faruk Elahi, its Organising Secretary Advocate Feroz Kabir Chowdhury Gunjan, Law Affairs Secretary Advocate Sajjad-ur-Zaman Sanju, Women Affairs Secretary Tahmina Shirin Nipa, Literary Secretary Poet Basher Ibne Jahur, among others, addressed.

Saiful Islam Jahangir said the programmes were finalised in the meeting and necessary preparations would be completed timely to observe the death anniversary of Dr Wazed on Wednesday next.
