Police recovered eight hand bombs from Shayampur Sand Ghat area under Katakhali Police Station in the city yesterday, reports BSS. On a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid in the area this noon and recovered the live hand bombs. However, none could be arrested in this connection.
Mehedi Hassan, OC of Katakhali Police Station, said each of the bombs was rapped with red-tape. He said the matter is being investigated and legal action will be taken.
