CHATTOGRAM:  A Chattogram court yesterday awarded six persons to life term imprisonment for killing a shopkeeper at Sarafbhata village under Rangunia upazila of the district 14 years back, reports BSS.

The Second Additional District and Sessions Judge Nure Alam pronounced the verdict convicting Bachchu Mia, Rahim Ullah, Ismail Hossain, Arif Hossain Sobuj, Monirul Islam and Abu Toiyab for killing Bacha Mia, a shopkeeper in the said area.

The court also fined the convicts Tk 10,000 each and in default to suffer one year more jail.

Among them, the three convicts Bachchu Mian, Rahim Ullah, Ismail Hossain were present in the court during the verdict while three others remained fugitives.
