The fifth Yunnan-Bangladesh Cooperation Dialogue, organised with the theme “Promoting tourism cooperation between Yunnan and Bangladesh”, was held in Kunming on April 26. Both parties exchanged views on such issues as tourism facilitation and the capacity building of tourism professionals, reaching broad consensus concerning many issues.
As Yunnan province strives to build itself into a world-class “healthy lifestyle destination”, both parties will explore more effective mechanisms for creating cross-border tourism cooperation and coordination and bring tourism to a new level. This will be accomplished by jointly promoting distance education and running colleges and universities, cultivating tourism professionals and improving their abilities, increasing people-to-people exchanges and enhancing tourism service capabilities.
The “Memorandum on the Fifth Yunnan-Bangladesh Cooperation Dialogue” was signed between both parties on the same day.
