The parliamentary standing committee on Women and Children Affairs Ministry yesterday recommended necessary measures to take punitive actions against torturers of women and children, reports BSS. The meeting was held at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban in the capital with its president Rebeka Momin presiding. Among others, committee members, Mahbub Ara Gini, Monwara Begum and Rifat Amin were present at the meeting. In its 16th meeting the body also suggested the concerned ministry to appoint women magistrate and judge to ensure justice to the women and children victims of rape and inhuman torture. The meeting also recommended the concerned ministry to take necessary measures after visiting the places where women and children are being tortured frequently. It stressed the need for providing standard education and creating jobs for the women to stop the menace.
