Speakers at the programme demanded exemplary punishment of those for ‘assaulting’ the teachers who were protesting the ‘irregularities’ of current Vice-chancellor Prof Farzana Islam in recent days.

They also denounced JU VC alleging that she is continuously violating university acts, statutes by appointing provosts in 7 dormitories and dean in two faculties.

Meanwhile, JU VC Prof Farzana Islam called teachers’ and officials’ communities for exchanging views and solution of the existing unrest situation on the campus at the seminar room of Zahir Raihan auditorium at 10am. Addressing the function, JU VC urged the teachers to avoid any unwanted activities on the campus that may hamper the academic activities.
