Peer review programme ends at SUB

Chattogram: A three-day peer review (PR) programme organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of computer science department of Southern University Bangladesh (SUB) ended on the campus yesterday.

Peer Review Committee members of the Computer Science department, including foreign experts Prof Ajmer Singh Malik of Public Administration Department of the Kurukshetra University of India, IQC director of Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Prof AKM Saifuddin, Chairman of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Chittagong University Md Aashir Rahman, PR member Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Md Nurul Mustafa, entrepreneur and founder Prof Sarwar Jahan, Pro-VC Prof Engineer M Ali Ashraf, IQC Director of the university Prof AJM Nuruddin Chowdhury, deans, registrar and teachers were present in the Peer Review programme.

40th anniv of coining the term ‘Glass Ceiling’ held

ULAB School of Business (USB) organised a programme marking the 40th anniversary of coining the term ‘Glass Ceiling’ on its Dhanmondi campus on Saturday, says a press release.

The programme started with the welcome speech by Prof Imran Rahman, special advisor to the ULAB Board of Trustees.

The event was comprised of two panel discussions.  The panels consisted of Naveed Akbar, head of Strategy, Enterprises, BRAC; Nazia Khair,  Senior Assistant Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking, The City Bank Ltd; Quazi Mohammad Shahed, CHRO, GrameenPhone;   Aupee Karim,  Architect, Educator, and Media Personality; Shampa Reza, Media Personality, Founder of the Anando Niketan and Rodela Chottor schools and Shams Imran , Executive Director, Macronomics Group. They discussed issues related to barriers women faced in pursuing leadership positions in different sectors of Bangladesh.
