Dhaka South Zone of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited organized a discussion titled “Compliance of Shariah in the Banking Operations” and client get-together in its Agargaon branch on Saturday, says a press release. Md. Joynal Abedin, director of the bank, addressed the programme as chief guest. Moulana Mohammad Muhibbullahil Baquee, member of the Shariah Supervisory Committee addressed as chief discussant. Presided over by Md. Yeanur Rahman, Executive Vice President of the bank the programme was addressed by Md. Shamsul Huda, Executive Vice President of Shariah Secretariat of the bank. The meeting discussed the duties and responsibilities of the banker and client maintaining Shariah. Businesspersons and employees of the bank attended the programme.
