Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) Syndicate on Saturday approved the jobs for the family members of the ten victims, who was killed in stampede during the qulkhwani of late former Chittagong City Corporation Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury last year, said a press release.

The approval came at the university’s 39th syndicate meeting which was presided over by Prof Goutam Buddha Das, Vice-Chancellor of the CVASU. The syndicate approved the permanent job of an office assistant for the victim Krishanapad Das’s wife Chandana Das and permanent job of a lab attendant for the victim Jhantu Das’s wife Lucky Das while temporary job of a lab technician for the victim Subrata Bhattacharjee’s wife Prinka Sharma.

On December 18, 2017, ten people were killed and 50 others injured in a stampede during the qulkhwani of late former Chittagong City Corporation Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury at a convention centre in the city.

Earlier, they were given temporary jobs by the university which were approved in the syndicate meeting following all the procedure yesterday, said the press release.
