The High Court yesterday dismissed 15 revision petitions against as many corruption cases filed against former BNP Housing and Public Works Minister Mirza Abbas and others on charges of selling 18 abandoned government houses on fake auction, reports UNB. A bench of Justice Obaidul Hassan and Justice Krishna Debnath rejected the revision petitions filed by the accused in 2017 challenging the proceedings of the cases. The fresh order cleared the way for the lower court to continue the trial proceedings of the 15 corruption cases filed against them. Anti-Corruption Commission's lawyer Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan said the HC earlier had stayed the trial proceedings of the cases in 2017.
