Alamgir Morshed has recently been appointed as head of Commercial Banking of Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh, the bank said in statement.

Alamgir joined Standard Chartered in 1995 and has held a number of positions within the bank.

With over 23 years of experience in the banking industry, Alamgir has been at the forefront of the development of the banking industry in Bangladesh, having introduced many pioneering solutions such as currency derivatives, interest swaps, and commodity hedging to the local market, the statement added.
