Three Bangladeshi nationals were killed and two others injured in a road accident in the United Arab Emirates yesterday morning, reports UNB.
Armanullah Chowdhury, Counsellor (Labour) in Bangladesh Embassy Abu Dhabi confirmed the news agency over phone late night about the deaths.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Farhad, Mohammad Elias and Akter Hossain.
The former duo hailed from Rauzan upazila and the latter from Hathazari upazila in Chittagong district. Two of them died on the spot and another on way to hospital, said the official.
The vehicle carrying the Bangladeshi workers crashed into a roadside establishment at Al Khajna of Abu Dhabi around 7am local time after its driver lost control over the steering, said the official.
The injured are Belal and Saiful and are being given treatment at a local hospital.
The embassy officials have already talked to the families of the victims in Bangladesh and the bodies would be sent back home after necessary formalities.
