RAJSHAHI: Administrative official at a meeting here underlined the need for concerted efforts of all officials and others concerned to prevent leakage of public examination question papers for welfare of the nation, reports BSS. Terming the issue very much sensitive, they called for making the services of all the officers and staff concerned transparent and accountable as it is vital to resist the question paper leakage. Rajshahi Education Board (REB) and Divisional Commissioner Office jointly organised the daylong meeting in the conference hall of Rajshahi City Corporation on Monday.
The meeting discussed ways and means of making the forthcoming HSC examination a total success. Deputy commissioners, upazila nirbahi officers and center-secretaries from all eight districts under Rajshahi division attended the meeting. The meeting put forward a set of recommendations on how to combat the crime of question paper leakage.
Additional secretary (Secondary and Higher Education Division) to Education Ministry Zabed Ahmed addressed the meeting as chief guest with commissioner of Rajshahi division Nur-Ur-Rahman in the chair.
REB Chairman Prof Abul Kalam Azad, Secretary Prof Tarun Kumar Sarker, Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Nisharul Arif and Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Tanveer Haider Chowdhury also spoke.
The meeting was told that the education ministry has, so far, identified 12 possible reasons and risks behind the question paper leakage.
The ministry also adopted 15 need-based measures to resist the leakage through addressing the risks collectively.
