NILPHAMARI: Police arrested an alleged member of banned militant outfit Jammatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Jaldhaka upazila

of the district yesterday morning, reports

The detainee was identified as Moshiur Rahman, 49, son of Abdul Khalil of Purbo Khutamara village under the upazila. Officer-in-Charge of Jaldhaka Thana Mostafizur Rahman said he was arrested at around 8:30 am from Purbo Khutamara Bazar area.

Police said Moshiur Rahman is an active member of the banned JMB.

A case was filed against him on July 04 in 2017 under Explosives Act with Jaldhaka Thana.

Moshiur was sent to jail by a court order noon.
