Bangabandhu Asian Men’s Central International Volleyball Championship organized by Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BFV) will be held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the capital from  April 21 to 27.

The BVF has already selected 15 players to attend vigorous training session for representing the nation. The federation has decided to send their team to Iran for a three-week special training in Tehran. The team will leave for Tehran today by Arabian Airlines at 7.55 am and return home on April 7. Apart from attending training session, the touring team will play 13 practice matches with different Iranian teams.

Ashim Shah will act coach cum manager of the team. The selected players are:  Harjit Biswas, Sayeed Al Jabir Rajesh, Kaiser Hamid, Masud Hossain, Syed Atiqur Rahman, Md Emdadul Haque,  Narayan Debnath, Abdul Momin Saddam, Rashed Khan Mrenon,  Imran Haider Kanchan,  Sajibur Rahman, Mohsin Uddin,  Mahmudul Hasan, Md Miruj Miah, Mahmudul Hasan and Md Fakhruddin.
