Islamic Foundation recruits 957

The Islamic Foundation has recruited 957 Alia nesab teachers from madrasa background out of 1,010 posts for its Darul Arqam (Ebtedyee) standard madrasas. The appointment was given at a time yesterday. The newly appointed teachers are asked to collect their appointment letters from Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram Mosque office on March 19 this year and join the office following the directives, says a notice of the foundation.

All of the new teachers were recruited for the job following the list of qualified candidates prepared after checking the test papers, project director of Mosque-Based Primary and Mass-Education Project Zubayer Ahmed told this correspondent. He said that initially 957 teachers against 1,010 posts were recruited. The rests of 53 teachers of Alia nesab will be recruited after completion of necessary verification of the qualified candidates, he added. The authority has been working to appoint more 1,010 teachers from general education background for teaching general subjects to the madrasa students. Their tests papers are also being examined by the experts, he said.

Zubayer Ahmed said that the authority had taken the recruitment test in November last year to recruit a total of 3,030 teachers in three categories under its Darul Arqam programme. Over five lakh jobseekers participated in the test.

“The test papers were examined by experts that required some times to complete the process while transparency is ensured in the entire process”, said Zubayer.   Since the premier  wants the madrasa students to participate in the mainstream government job, the project was adopted and all the selected teachers are from madrasa background, said the project director.

He also thanked Islamic Foundation Director General Shamim Mohammad Afzal for his support in this fair recruitment process.
