Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB) organised a seminar to promote study in Japan among the students at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) campus here on Saturday, reports UNB. JUAAB in association with the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka and Department of Civil Engineering, BUET organised the programme titled “Study in Japan Seminar 2018”. The seminar provided information on higher education in Japan, including the Japanese government scholarships (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology; MEXT Scholarship), study and life in Japan as well as its advantages.

More than 60 masters' students and young faculties of BUET participated in the seminar, said Japanese Embassy in Dhaka on Sunday.

Two BUET faculties who recently returned from Japan shared their experiences in Japan, followed by a presentation on various scholarship schemes.

Head, Department of Civil Engineering, embassy officials and JUAAB members, among others, were present at the seminar.
