Md Nazrul Islam and Jalal Ahmad Jehadi have been elected president and secretary respectively of Newspaper Hawkers’ Welfare Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, said a press release on Thursday.

Among the nine other members elected are-- Vice-president Mohammad Khairul Alam and members Humayun Kabir, Jahir Hossain Sagor, Zafar Ahamad, Ruhul Amin Bhuiyan, Helal Uddin and Tonu Mia.

The election of the management committee of the Society was held in the capital on March 6. Mostaba Jaman Popy, councilor of Ward 13 of Dhaka South City Corporation, was the president of the committee.
