Bangladesh Navy will encounter Bangladesh Army in the final of the Independence Day Basketball Tournament today at Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium.
Navy eliminated Dhaka Shawon 84-58 in the first semifinal after leading the first half 44-30.
Soheb (20), Bappi (12) and Jamil (10) were the three leading scorers for Navy. Saiful with 17 was the top scorer for Shawon
Army also had a comfortable 63-44 win against Border Guard Security in the other semifinal. The winners led the first half 32-20. Abul (16), Amanat (15) and Mithun (10) were three cagers of Army to reach double figures. Zia with 11 was the lone double digit scorer for BGB.
