A nonstop downpour from Sunday evening has paralysed normal life in Rajshahi city. The rainfall started on Sunday at 7pm and continuing without break till yesterday afternoon. Low-lying area of the city like Zia Nagar, Chhoto Bongram, Mollapara, Dingadoba, Tikapara, Seroil and many others areas have been sub-merged due to water logging. However; many roads of posh area like Padma Residential Area, Upasahar, in-front of Rajshahi Medical College, Miapara, Sagarpara area have been submerged.  Due to sufficient rain fall, the ponds, ditches, beels and water bodies also filled with water. Commuters were seen to wait long time for public transports, while many rickshawpullers and battery-run auto-rickshaw drivers are charging double fare from the passengers adding much to their sufferings. Water level of the River Padma was also rising and nearing danger levels.
