Mustafiz likely to play in IPL opener Apr 7

The fixture of Indian Premier League 2018 (IPL) has been published and the world's most popular and competitive T20 tournament will kick-off on April 7 and will come to an end on May 27. The tournament will be played at nine venues across 51 days.

Just like previous year, Sakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman are the only two players from Bangladesh, who will be seen playing in this tournament.

Young pacer Mustafizur Rahman played for the IPL team Sunrisers Hydrabad for the last two years but he will be playing for defending champions Mumbai Indians, this year.

On the other hand, al-rounder Sakib Al Hasan has played wearing the jersey of Kolkata Knight Riders for the past six editions of the tournament. But this year, he will be playing for the team Sunrisers Hydrabad.

Mumbai Indians bided two crore and twenty lakh rupees to bring Mustafiz to the team and Sakib joined Sunrisers Hydrabad for two crore rupees. Mustafiz is likely to make his debut for Mumbai Indians against Chennai Super Kings on the opening match of the IPL on April 7 and Shakib’s Sunrisers Hydrabad will play their first match on April 9, where they will meet Rajasthan Royals.
