A man drowned and another went missing as a boat capsized in the Mahananda River at Bazrartek of Bholahat upazila yesterday. The deceased was identified as Biltu Sheikh, 55, a resident of Bazrartek village.
Mohsin Ali, officer-in-charge of Bholahat police, said the boat carrying 7/8 labourers sank in the river due to strong current in the river in the afternoon.
