Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged firearms peddler with six pistols, four magazines and 13 bullets from Hudmapara Mollatola village under Shibganj upazila in the district early yesterday morning. BGB sources said the arrested person is Md. Anwarul Islam, 45, son of Late Abul Hossain of the aforesaid area. Acting on a tip off, a team of the BGB from Ajmatpur border outpost raided the house of Anwarul around 3-30 am and arrested him with the arms and ammunition. Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police.
