Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-memebr BCB physically challenged cricket team for ICRC International Twenty20 Cricket Tournament for People with Physical Disabilities to be started on September 2. Shaon Mahmud, Sujan Debnath and Md. Saiful Islam Khan are in the reserve bench. The skipper of the host team for the event will be declared later.
The BCB Physically Challenged Cricket Team, representing hosts Bangladesh, will compete against Afghanistan, England, India and Pakistan for the crown. To participate in the five-nation tournament for the first time, the squad players were scouted through a talent hunt camp held in March 2015.
Bangladesh will take on England in the first match of the meet to be played at Mirpur’s Home of Cricket which is open for all. Remaining matches and the prize distribution ceremony from 3-10 September will take place at BKSP, Savar. BCB T20 Squad: SM Shahariar Shamim, Monirujjaman, Amin Uddin, Alam Khan, Apurbo Kumar paul, Drupam Patranabish Tirtho, Suzaul Islam, Rifat Hossain Bappy, Rasel Sikder, Mamunur Rashid, Sana Ullah, Nasim, Jahid Hasan, Shariful Islam and Faisal Khan Shumit.
