Stuart Law, the technical advisor of the Bangladesh Under-19 team, will start his work with the youth teams today at Khunla. As part of their intense practice for the Under-19 World Cup at home, for which the BCB set an ambitious plan, the youngsters would set a camp in the industrial city for 13 days. Law, the former head coach of Bangladesh national team, will have a closer look at the youth team.
The Australian earlier made a 16 weeks deal with the BCB to guide the team. His 16 weeks work will be divided into three parts. He will be in Bangladesh for fours weeks in the first phase. The BCB meanwhile announced the 24-member squad for the training camp. The full team will practice at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna till September 11. However an exclusive training camp with 11 players was held by the guideline of their head coach Mizanur Rahman Babul which ended a couple of days ago.
“The team had already reached Khulna. All the players are sound and well,” said Babul from Khulna over phone. “We had plans to hold the practice camp at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothisthan (BKSP). But an international cricket tournament for the physically-challenged people will be held there and so we shifted the camp to Khulna.
