Engineer Jafar Sadique has taken over charge as the 22nd chairman of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) on February 3, a press statement said.

Sadique has specialisation in the modern techniques of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Materials, Quality Management System and Integrated Management System, the statement added.

His contribution towards the manpower development in the field of NDT has made this modern technology sustainable in the country. In recognition of the outstanding performance and contributions in the field of Non-Destructive Testing he was awarded with the “BSNDT AWARD – 2006” by Bangladesh Society for Non-Destructive Testing (BSNDT), the statement added.

He obtained B.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering from BUET in 1982.
